Marco Polo Club To Host Dinner
Marco Polo Club, 1027 E. Second St., will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday. Adults are $8 and children are $4.
Lucy Desi To Offer Event
The Lucy Desi Center for Comedy will offer a Valentine’s evening of comedy and romance at its museum attractions on Saturday, Feb. 16. The event includes a cocktail hour in the Desilu Studios, a candlelight dinner in Ricky Ricardo’s nightclub, the Tropicana Room, and live comedy by stand-up Nick Siracuse, a writer for Jay Leno and Arsenio Hall. The night will end with a screening in the Lucy Desi Museum of the “I Love Lucy” episode, “The Marriage License,” where Lucy and Ricky Ricardo re-create the day they became engaged. Tickets are $75 a couple and are available at Lucy-Desi.com or by calling the Lucy Desi Center at 484-0800. Space is limited. Beer and wine will be served by cash donation. All proceeds from the event will be used to support comedic programs and museum maintenance.
Knee Seminar To Be Held Feb. 19
Dr. William Fritz, an orthopedic surgeon at WCA Hospital, will host a seminar about the benefits of partial knee replacement at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the WCA Hospital auditorium, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown. JCC To Offer Training Series
Jamestown Community College’s Jamestown Campus will offer a non-credit supervisory training series on Fridays, Feb. 15 through May 3. Sessions, led by experienced supervisors from various employment sectors, examine timely topics for current, new and prospective supervisors. Classes meet from 1-3 p.m. Time and stress management, employee motivation and performance, legal aspects of supervision, communication skills, and problem solving and decision making are among the topics that will be explored.
