United Way Campaign Chair Thanks Community

To The Reader’s Forum:

Now that we have blown out the flame that ignited our very successful 2012 United Way of Southern Chautauqua County Campaign, it is only appropriate that we pause to thank you for investing in our wonderful community.

From corporate and employee giving to organizational and individual donations you stepped up to help us exceed our goal in spite of the challenging economic climate that we find ourselves in. Your generous help and support for the United Way will ensure that over 31,000 residents in our community will get the extra help they need through 44 programs supported by 19 partner agencies. As we explained, our focus will be to strengthen the education, income, and health of our community through measurable outcomes and rigorous accountability. We also want to thank the campaign volunteers and agency volunteers, all of whom are so essential to our mission accomplishment.

As your campaign chair I am so proud and humbled by your generosity, support, and enthusiasm which turned the challenge of this United Way campaign into a “Job Well Done!” I guess that is why we “Live United” in the belief that, together, we will build a better tomorrow right here in our community.
