City Man Dies As Result Of Gerry Accident

GERRY – A Jamestown man died Friday night the result of an accident caused by an apparent medical condition.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a one-car motor-vehicle accident on Route 60 in the town of Gerry at 11:11 p.m.

Officials say Aaron Hartman, 48, of 118 Hazzard St., Jamestown, was traveling south in the area of 4680 Route 60 when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree. He was taken to WCA Hospital by Alstar Ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials say it appears that Hartman suffered a medical emergency that caused the accident, which is still under investigation.
