Powers Doubles In Trojans’ Swim Loss

Led by double winners Kevin Volz and Brady Stein, Olean rolled to a 121-61 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association swimming victory over host Southwestern on Wednesday night.

Volz captured the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:21.35 and also the 100 freestyle (54.95) while Stein hit the wall first in the 200 freestyle (2:03.70) and the 100 breaststroke (1:13.12).

Olean won nine of 12 events, including both relays.

The only victors for Southwestern were Jordan Powers and Alex Beckerink.

Powers won both the 50 freestyle (22.15) and the 100 butterfly (54.83) and Beckerink was the winner in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:40.90.
