Mitchell — Newberry
Tara Elizabeth Newberry and Brandon Ronald Mitchell exchanged wedding vows on Nov. 24, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Concord, N.C. The Rev. Thurmond C. Plexico performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Pat Graham Crowe, organist, and Jeffery Price, soloist. The bride was escorted by her father.
The bride is the daughter of Irvin and Sara Newberry of Concord, and the granddaughter of Rona Newberry of Concord and the late Guy Newberry, and Bruce and Bobbye Byrd of Pensacola, Fla. Her husband is the son of Ronald and Kim Mitchell of Portland, and Dan and Tracy Roemer of Mayville, and the grandson of Ronald and Sandy Mitchell of Portland, and Carole Faust of Mayville.
The bride wore a strapless Impressions Couture ivory gown with a sweetheart neckline, accented by a purple sash and a ribbon design on the tulle skirt.
Emily Evans was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendy Perdue, sister of the bride, and Carly Mitchell, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Rachel Perdue of Concord, niece of the bride.
The best man was Aaron Delcamp. Groomsmen were Andrew Manzella and Matthew Swank. Ushers were Irvin Newberry Jr., brother of the bride, Garrett Perdue, nephew of the bride, and Alex Davis.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Concord High School, a 2003 graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and a 2006 graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Fla. Her husband is a 2005 graduate of UNC Charlotte. He is serving in the U.S. Air Force.
They honeymooned in the Dominican Republic.
They are living in the Baltimore/D.C. area.
