Library To Host Craft Night
FREWSBURG – The Myers Memorial Library will be holding a special craft night at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the library’s community room. The group will make valentines for residents at the Frewsburg Rest Home. The primary pattern is the “Hoppy Day” card featured in Crafts ‘n Things magazine as the love letters card. Panama Board To Meet Monday
PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.
AARP Chapter To Meet Feb. 6
SALAMANCA – Salamanca AARP Chapter 844 will meet Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Salamanca Senior Center, 18 Main St., Salamanca. Featured will be a musical program presented by the Good Old Boys. Members are encouraged to continue with the chapter’s community service projects by making monthly contributions to the coupons for the military and the non-perishable food donations for the local food pantry. There are still a few seats available for the trip to Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester on Monday, Feb. 11, for the musical comedy “Embraceable You” featuring the music of George Gershwin. The cost of tickets for the production which stars Dean and Lisa Balkwill is $69 a person. BPU To Host Blood Drive
The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will host a Community Blood Bank blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the BPU Education Room, 92 Steele St.. Donors may access the BPU Bloodmobile by entering the “D” driveway at 92 Steele St. to the BPU parking lot. Facing the building from the parking lot, one should enter the Visitor Entrance, the right door under the green awning beside the BPU Customer Service Department. Donors will sign in at the window and take the elevator to the first floor. Donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and will need a form of identification such as a blood donor card or driver’s license. BPU employees will provide a lunch to blood donors.
