Legion To Host Rustic Ramblers

Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 will host the Rustic Ramblers from 7-11 p.m. Friday. Dinners will be served from 5-9 p.m. All members and guests are welcome.

Library To Offer Free Workshop

Prendergast Library will offer a free workshop to help people write or improve a resume from 2-3 p.m. Friday. Those attending should bring their title, employment dates, company name and address, and duties for each job they have held during the last 10 to 15 years. Teacher Mary Jo Dix of Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES will help them create a resume that advances their job search. The event is provided with support from the New York State Library’s Adult Literacy Library Services grant program. Winter Grange Meeting Set

The winter meeting of Chautauqua County Pomona grange will be hosted by Ross Grange. It will be at The Falcon’s Newt Banquet Hall on Saturday. Committees will meet at 11 a.m. with lunch at noon by Betty Wakefield and members of Ross Grange. An auction will be held following lunch with the business meeting and program at 1 p.m. The regular meeting of Ross Grange will be Monday with snacks at 2 p.m., followed by the program and business meeting at 3 p.m. A work meeting for “Warm Up America” afghans will begin at 11 a.m. Those attending should bring a sack lunch and a yarn sewing needle. The public is invited to attend both of these meetings.

Boys & Girls Club To Open Monday

The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday for the Jamestown Public Schools half-day for children in kindergarten through fourth grades. The gym, computer room and game room will be open. There will be a free swim from 3-4:30 p.m. In order to swim, members must change into their suits at swim time and have a towel. There will be a snack served. The cost is $1 for non-members and free for members. For more information, call the club at 664-2902. Caucus Meeting To Be Held

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Democratic Party will hold a caucus meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Anthony C. Caprino Building in Lakewood. Any Democrats in Lakewood interested in running for one of two Village Board positions should attend. The public is welcome to attend.

Flu Vaccination Clinic Is Monday

SALAMANCA – The Salamanca Health Department Clinic on Iroquois Drive will host a flu vaccination clinic from 2-5 p.m. Monday. The clinic is open to anyone six months of age and older. Those attending should bring their health insurance cards. The clinic will bill Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Univera, Fidelis, Today’s Choice, Evercare and Humana.
