Area Businessman Testifies Before National Group

Ronald J. Papa, National Fire Adjustment Co. Inc. president, recently testified before the Catastrophe Loss Committee with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners at the Gaylord Hotel Conference Center in Washington, D.C. with 200 in attendance.

Papa has a National Fire Adjustment office at 567 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown. He worked extensively on Hurricane Sandy claims and claims from the Elmira, N.Y., tornado.

Insurance company executives, media representatives and pro consumer groups were in attendance. Papa spoke at the invitation of the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, where he was past president and was named Person of the Year. Papa is president of National Fire Adjustment, a family owned and operated company which began in 1922. The National Fire Adjustment Company Inc. is one of the nation’s largest public adjusting and loss-consulting firms.

National Fire Adjustment has assisted thousands in the preparation, support and settlement of claims for a diverse number of clients in both the public and private sectors. The company is now in its fourth generation of leadership. Frank Papa is currently the chairman of the board. His father, B. J. Papa, was the company’s founder. Ronald Papa’s three daughters, Kelly, Katie and Jodie, are all licensed public adjusters for the National Fire Adjustment Co. Inc.
