LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

James J. Spitale was charged for disorderly conduct. Police on Saturday were sent to Park Meadow Lane in the town of Busti for a suspicious person in the roadway. Upon arrival police found Spitale to be in an intoxicated state. Police attempted to check his well-being and find him a ride, but Spitale refused to cooperate and began swearing and laid down in the road and refused to move. As a result he was arrested and arraigned in Town of Busti Court. Bail was set at $5,000-$10,000, and he was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. Spitale will be back in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

DEPARTMENT

Raymond Johnson, of Jamestown, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree menacing. Police on Saturday responded to West Sixth Street for a physical domestic dispute in progress. Upon arrival officers were told by neighbors that a male had dragged a female from outside to inside the residence with his arm around her neck. Officers made contact with the suspect at the front door. Police were able to locate the victim inside the residence with several injuries and in an emotional state. Johnson was placed under arrest and was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident where he is awaiting arraignment.

RIPLEY – Christopher A. Douglas, 23, of Goodrich Street, Ripley, was charged with a loud exhaust, expired inspection, operating without insurance and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Douglas on Saturday was stopped in Ripley for having a loud exhaust. Further investigation found that he has an expired inspection and no valid proof of insurance. A license check showed Douglas’ license had been suspended four times on four separate dates, none of which had been cleared. Douglas was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets.

CARROLL – William D. Mattson, 20, of Bone Run Road, Frewsburg, was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign. Mattson was observed not stopping at a stop sign at Old Warren Road in the town of Carroll before crossing the road and striking a utility pole. He was transported to WCA Hospital and will be in court at a later date.

KIANTONE – Jeremy M. Danielson, 33, of Bemus Point, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree felony AUO, speeding and unlicensed operator. Deputies on Sunday stopped a vehicle operated by Danielson on Kiantone Road for speeding. After an investigation, Danielson was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. Due to a previous DWI within the last 10 years, his arrest was upgraded to a felony. A record check showed Danielson had a revoked non-driver ID only, the result of a DWI revocation from March 2003. He was taken into custody for processing and a blood test. Danielson is scheduled to appear in Kiantone Town Court at a later date.

MINA – Neville B. Askins, 18, of Erie, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding in a zone. Cassdy C. Earls, 17, of Northeast, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies on Friday stopped a speeding vehicle on Sunyside Road in Findley Lake. Police detected the smell of marijuana from the vehicle. Following an investigation, Askins revealed he had a blunt in his possession. A younger passenger also was found to be in possession of marijuana and a glass pipe. Both were charged and released with appearance tickets. They will appear in Mina Town Court at a later date.
