Sherman Boys, Girls Roll To Victories Over West Valley

WEST VALLEY – Sherman made easy work of West Valley on Saturday, 64-37, improving its Division 4 record to 7-0 this season.

The Wildcats, 10-3 overall and currently ranked ninth in the state for Class D, took a 30-17 lead into the locker room before putting the game completely from reach with a 22-point (compared to West Valley’s nine) third period.

Andrew Graham netted 18 points with four steals and three assists, Ryan Robson had 14 points and eight rebounds and Chris Greiner finished with five points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the victors.

For West Valley (1-11, 1-7), Marcus Enser had a team-high eight points to go with six rebounds and Mike Grigsby hauled in eight boards.

ELLE REED LEADS WAY

WEST VALLEY – Elle Reed sunk four treys on the way to scoring 33 points, Bridget Yaw added 12 more and Sherman downed West Valley, 59-28.

The Lady Wildcats built a 20-2 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back, expanding their advantage to 27-15 by the break and 39-19 after three quarters of play.

Sherman is now 11-1 overall and 6-1 in Division 4. West Valley, meanwhile, dropped to 7-6 and 4-4.

Elle Reed, in addition to her game-high tally, had 12 rebounds and had four assists while teammate Danielle Reed also chipped in with a 3-point basket and four assists.

Megan Bailey led with 13 points in defeat.
