Morrison Scores 34 In Cards’ Win

SALAMANCA – Sophomore Bryce Morrison was the difference maker for Randolph in Division 2 boys basketball Friday night.

Morrison poured in 34 points, including eight 3-pointers, as the Cardinals (6-2, 8-4) topped Salamanca (3-4, 6-5), 71-48.

Randolph broke on top with a 22-10 advantage in the first quarter with Morrison scoring 10. He tallied 15 more in the second quarter when the Cardinals built the lead to 42-20.

Overall, he had 25 points in the first half and was well on his way to 34 points. In addition, he grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out 10 assists.

During the first half, he hit 6 of 8 3-point shots as the Cardinals took a large halftime lead.

”We couldn’t stop him as we put five different players on him,”said Salamanca coach Brian Koscielniak.

Taylor Miller chipped in with 14 points for the winners.

Damion Taylor recorded 13 points, Bryce Stahlman 12 and Tanner John 11 in the loss.
