Gerry Auxiliary To Meet Today

GERRY – The Gerry Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. today in the Gerry Fire Hall. The group will nominate and elect officers for 2013. All members need to be present for the election. Refreshments will be served.

County 4-H Dinner Is Saturday

The Chautauqua County 4H Beef & Heifer Project is holding its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the Fluvanna Fire Hall, Fluvanna Avenue Ext. Joe Conti’s spaghetti dinner will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, drink and dessert. Tickets will be available for sale at the door. Proceeds from this dinner help run the project throughout the year

To Meet Friday

WESTFIELD – The January meeting of the Chautauqua County American Legion will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at John W. Rogers Post 327 in Westfield. All legion members are welcome to attend.

Meet Your Officials Event Is Saturday

BUSTI – At 10 a.m. on Saturday a ”Meet Your Local Elected Officials” event will be held at the Busti Town Hall, 121 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood. Those in attendance include Jesse Robbins, Busti supervisor, P.J. Wendell, county legislator for District 18, and David Wordelmann, Lakewood mayor.

Sinclairville Board To Meet Thursday

SINCLAIRVILLE – The village of Sinclairville will hold a regular board meeting on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Village Office, 9 Lester St., Sinclairville. All those interested are welcome to attend.

JCC Offering Service Classes

Jamestown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education will present noncredit courses on improving profitability and enhancing customer service. The courses, taught by Randy Franchina, will be held on JCC’s Jamestown Campus. To register, call 338-1005. Increasing Your Profit Through Accountability, offered from 7:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday and Jan. 25 and Feb. 1, is designed for production leaders, supervisors, managers and executives. Participants will examine accountability at all levels. Tuition is $99. Preparing Customer Service Personnel for Optimum Performance explores proper business etiquette and how to treat employees, supervisors and customers. The course meets from 6-8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 18 through March 6. Tuition is $119. Franchina has 15 years’ experience in quality engineering, corporate training, organizational development, operational excellence and Six Sigma Green Belt techniques.

Pancake Meal Set For Saturday

RIPLEY – The youth group of the Ripley United Methodist Church, 84 W. Main St., Ripley, will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. The cost is $5 and proceeds will benefit the youth in their ministry. A Chinese auction will also be held.
