Arthur “Jack” Titus

SINCLAIRVILLE – Arthur “Jack” Titus, 92, of Route 380, Sinclairville, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

Born May 23, 1920, in Hatch Hollow, Pa., son of the late Arthur John and Abby Wade Titus, he was a long-time resident of Kabob, town of Stockton.

Jack was employed at the former Holsum Bakery, the Round and Sons Basket Factory and then employed and retired from Proto Tool in Jamestown.

He was a member of the Sinclairville Senior Citizens, Valley Historical Society and the South Stockton Wayside Chapel.

Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing,

Husband of 18 years to Elaine Palmer Titus, whom he married Aug. 13, 1994, and the late Eleanor Cole Titus and Dorothy McBride Titus; father of Steve Titus, Roxanne (Bill) Astry all of Cassadaga; and the late Craig Titus; grandfather of: Andy (Michele) Astry, Alexandra (Matt) Williams, Samantha (Hagen) Boardman and Sandy (Joe) Biggers; stepfather of: Donald (Katie) Palmer and Jane (David) Johnson; step-grandfather of: Dan and Hannah Palmer, Katelin (Cory) Marzec, Rebecca Horton, John and James Moore; great-grandfather of seven and several step great-grandchildren; brother of: Ellen Kissilinski and Frances Wright, both of Centerville, Pa.; and the late Lucille Laughner. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

The funeral service is noon Wednesday in South Stockton Wayside Chapel, 5537 Route 380, Sinclairville, with visitation two hours prior to the service at church and the Rev. Philip Shay officiating.
