Doris Corstange, 93, formerly of 2109 Southwestern Drive, Lakewood and Kennedy-Frewsburg Road, Kennedy, passed away Friday (Jan. 11, 2013) in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center.
She was the widow of Ervin W. Corstange, whom she married Aug. 2, 1940, who died Jan. 8, 1991.
A lifelong area resident, she was born April 14, 1919, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Moran Anderson.
Doris was a 1937 graduate of Celoron High School and prior to retirement was employed by the former Jamestown General Hospital.
Surviving are four daughters: Karen (David) Hurlburt of Jamestown, Donna (Fredric) DeGarmo of Ashtabula, Ohio, Bonnie (Bruce) Adams of Great Falls, Mont., and Debbie (Anthony) Patti of James-town; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a son Willard Corstange on Aug. 16, 2007, and a grandchild Bertie E. Solomon Jr.
The funeral will be 6 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle Keefer, pastor of Fluvanna Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 4-6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
