Northwest Adds To Staff
WARREN – William M. “Bill” Guthrie has joined Northwest Savings Bank as corporate senior vice president and senior executive of the bank’s Wealth Management Division.
Gregory C. LaRocca, executive vice president of Northwest Savings Bank, made the announcement.
In his new position, Guthrie will be responsible for the management and delivery of investment and trust services, customer relationship management, business development and all other aspects of the operations and personnel of the Wealth Management Division across the four-state footprint of the bank.
Guthrie brings experience in trust, investments and wealth management to his new position. He served most recently as senior vice president and director of endowments and foundations for Regions Institutional Trust in Birmingham, Ala. Prior to that, he served as a senior vice president and director in the private client group of National City Bank. He also held positions at PNC Bank and Mellon Bank.
A native of Pittsburgh, Guthrie holds a master of science in taxation and a Master of Business Administration, both from Duquesne University. He holds a bachelor degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds the following designations and certifications: chartered financial analyst, chartered market technician, certified financial planner and certified trust and financial adviser.
Guthrie he is a member of the Finance Committee Board of the Market Technicians Association. He is a former treasurer and chairman of the Finance and Investment Committees of the Indianapolis Humane Society. He served as a CFA Exam Level II and III Grader for CFA Institute for four years and as an arbitrator for the Board of Arbitrators of NASD Regulation, Inc., which is now FINRA.
Guthrie has relocated to Warren. He has two children, Michael James, 8, and Jessica Lee, 5.
