Marshes Shine For Tonawanda Titans

TONAWANDA – Megan, Matthew and Adam Marsh of Bemus Point recently competed in meets for the Tonawanda Titans swim team.

At the Tonawanda Titans Holiday Swim Meet at the Tonawanda Aquatics and Fitness Center, Megan swam a personal best in the 200 backstroke, placing second for the 15-18 Women’s Division with a time of 2:19.49. She was third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.13 and first in the women’s 200 freestyle, swimming a 2:03.17.

Adam swam a personal best in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 52.87.

Matthew, Megan and Adam also swam at the Jamestown STAR Invitational and Matthew was first in the100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.59, second in the 100 freestyle (57.05) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.49).

Megan was first in the100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley with times of 1:12.13, and 2:18.11. She was also second in the100 butterfly with a 1:03.35.

Adam earned personal-best times in the 50 and 100 freestyles. He dropped more than eight seconds in the 100 freestyle for a time of 1:39.49 and dropped two seconds in the 50 freestyle with a time of 39.76.

Megan and Matthew both qualified for the upcoming Senior Power Point Meet at the Webster Aquatic Center.
