Bears Bowlers Fall To Forestville

FREDONIA – The Forestville boys and girls teams were both successful on Friday, posting 4-0 sweeps in their match with Frewsburg (18-25) at Lucky Lanes in Division 2 bowling.

The Hornets improved to 29-10 in topping the Bears, rolling a 895-835-867-2,597 team total while Frewsburg had 704-627-726-2,057.

Brad Dillenburg led Forestville with a 256-639 and John Murphy had 213-609.

For Frewsburg, Christian Sardi delivered a 485 series.

The Forestville girls (30-2) continued their season-long run, posting a team score of 635-664-765-2,064 and the Bears shot 531-567-580-1,678.

Leading the Lady Hornets were Sarah Pleva with a 233-558 and Emily Dillenburg with 202-550.

Bridgett Rogers topped Frewsburg (13-23) with a 494 and Emily Norton shot a168 single.


CLYMER – Both the Silver Creek boys and girls teams posted 4-0 wins over Clymer at Cutting Lanes in Division 2 action on Thursday.

The Black Knights spilled a 874-808-891-2,590 team total while Clymer had a 654-673-729-2,056.

Leading the way for the victors were Carl Cotroneo with a 625 and Robert Patterson with a 516.

For Clymer, Austin Cramer hit a 510 and Sam VanValkenburg a 417.

In girls action, Lizzy Golubski spun a 542, Tessa Gibbons a 537 and the Lady Black Knights racked up a team total of 602-681-705-1,988 compared to Clymer’s 500-545-451-1,496.

Arleigh Bemus led the Lady Pirates with a 408 and Janelle Engels followed with a 398.
