County Takes Another Turn In Spotlight
The Jamestown Savings Bank Arena will take its turn in the television spotlight from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20.
From 4-6 p.m., the Progressive Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular will air on Time Warner Cable channels 2 and 12. The event brought several world-class gymnasts, including three members of the Olympic gold medal-winning women’s gymnastics team, and a similarly talented group of figure skaters to a packed Jamestown Savings Bank Arena in December.
It’s far from your regular skating and gymnastics show found regularly on TV, according to at least one area youth who was there.
“I really liked it because there were so many lights and I loved how there were so many people doing cool tricks,” said Maggie O’Connell, 9.
Speaking of the small screen, those with some extra time this weekend can continue to see Chautauqua Lake’s star by tuning in to the Outdoors Channel. After premiering Jan. 3, the Jack Link’s Major League Fishing competition, a made-for-TV competition featuring 24 of the best anglers in the United States, continues with its second elimination round. The competition continues, from Chautauqua Lake, on the Outdoors Channel at 7:30 p.m. today, 2 p.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
