Ross Grange To Change Meetings

Ross Grange will change their meeting time for the winter months, beginning with their Monday meeting. Snacks will be served at 2 p.m. with visiting shared until 3 p.m. At this time the program and meeting will begin. Ross Grange gave five $200 scholarships through the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation this year. Recipients were Sarah Culver, Matthew Elderkin, Michael Lanphere, Mikala Peterson and Stephen Reed. They have been invited to share their college experiences with Grangers at this meeting. The Community Foundation will make a presentation regarding their work in the community. Randy Sweeney, executive director, will lead the presentation. Ross Grange meets at the Falcons Nest Banquet Hall, 2001 E. Main St., Falconer. Visitors are welcome.

Winter Classes Being Offered

LAKEWOOD – New winter classes will be held at the Busti-Lakewood Community Center. On Mondays, pilates will be held at 4:30 p.m. and yoga will be held at 5:30 p.m. starting this Monday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, yoga/pilates will be held at 9:50 a.m. and Tai Chi will be held at 10:50 a.m. starting Jan. 15. Golden agers aerobics class will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 a.m. Mondays from 7-9 p.m., men’s over 30 basketball will be held at the Southwestern Elementary School gym. Fitness/step will be held Thursdays at 5 p.m. and yoga/pilates will be held at 6 p.m. Thursdays starting Jan. 17 at the rec center, 9 W. Summit Ave., Lakewood. Pinochle will be played Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and cribbage will be played Wednesdays at 1 p.m. For more information, call 763-1861.

Thrift Shop To Hold Winter Sale

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, is having a winter sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. In addition, ladies’ dress slacks are priced at half off and the shop has a supply of ladies’ winter coats and plus-size clothing to 6X. Off-street parking is available in the church lot located off East Fifth Street. Proceeds from the shop, which is run by volunteers from St. Luke’s Church and the community, are donated to local outreach programs.

Clothing Sale Happening Now

Victory Tabernacle Thrift Store, 205 Cherry St., Jamestown, is having a sale. Clothes are three for $1. Some children’s clothes are $1 per bag. Everything else is marked down. The hours are Monday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parent Network To Meet Monday

SOUTH DAYTON – The Parent Network of WNY will offer “What to do About Challenging Behavior in the Home and Community,” a workshop for families of individuals with disabilities, from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Pine Valley Central School, 7755 Route 83, South Dayton.
