Moon Brook Charity Golf Classic Officials Make Donation To St. Susan Center

Moon Brook Charity Golf Classic officials recently donated a portion of proceeds from the annual tournament to the St. Susan Center.

Sue Colwell, St. Susan Center executive director, recently accepted a $2,500 donation from the club’s efforts.

“The donation will be used to help provide meals to those in need in the Jamestown area,” Colwell said. “As the economy continues to struggle and more people find themselves out of full-time employment, a greater number of people find themselves looking to food service providers to help make ends meet.”

St. Susan Center serves, on average, more than 300 meals each day. Its doors are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, visit St. Susan Center at or call 664-2253.

“If we can’t feed our neighbors, what can we do?” asked Mike Roberts, committee member. “When the committee puts out notice St. Susan Center is always at the top of the list.”
