Randolph Boys Outlast Sherman

RANDOLPH – Things were pretty close between Sherman and host Randolph on Monday night, but a strong second half proved to be the difference as the Cardinals racked up a 51-40 non-league win in boys basketball.

Randolph (3-1, 6-3) held a slim 18-16 lead at the half, but settled down in the third quarter and outscored the Wildcats (4-0, 7-3) 33-24 the rest of the way.

For the winners, Bryce Morrison and Nathan Beaver both had solid games with 18 points and six rebounds each. Morrison also collected four assists and three steals while Beaver added three steals and four blocks. Cody Oldro led the team in rebounds with 10.

Jake Card led Sherman with 13 points and seven rebounds, Andrew Graham scored 11 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, Ryan Robson contributed 10 points and three steals and Devon Moorhead had four assists.
