Library To Host eReader Classes
ELLINGTON – The Farman Free Library in Ellington will host e-reader classes today at 6 p.m., Tuesday at noon, Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Please bring an eReader with you. Make sure the device is charged. Participants will talk about how to use the device, how to purchase and download books, how to find free books and, most importantly, how to use the local library to take ebooks out on loan. For more information contact the library at 287-2945 during normal business hours. The Farman Free Library is located at 760 Thornton Road in Ellington in the former Lock Stock and Barrell. The hours are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to noon.
CHH Sets Monthly Sale
Community Helping Hands, located in the Gateway Center, 31 Water St., Jamestown, will hold its monthly bag sale from Tuesday through Saturday. Bags will cost $1, with new items added every day. Community Helping Hands is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. For more information, call 487-1488. All proceeds benefit the ministries of Community Helping Hands, which helps local families in need.
Church To Host Food Truck
ASHVILLE – The Western NY Food Express Truck will be at the Ashville UM Church on Tuesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. and reopens from 3:30-5 p.m. The truck brings mostly fresh produce. To receive the free food you will need proof of address with you, which shows you reside at one of the following ZIP codes: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785, and during winter months Clymer 14724 and Sherman 14781.
Fire District To Hold Meeting
CHERRY CREEK – The 2013 organizational meeting for the Cherry Creek Fire District will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the fire hall.
School Board To Meet Thursday
RIPLEY – The Ripley Central School board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the district office for the purpose of personnel and contractual issues related to the tuitioning plan. The public is welcome to attend.
