Reed Paces Sherman Again

SHERMAN – Elle Reed of Sherman moved her Section 6-leading scoring average to 31.3 on Saturday in Division 4 girls basketball on Saturday.

Reed had 28 points and hauled down 15 rebounds as the unbeaten Lady Wildcats (4-0, 8-0) downedWest Valley (1-2, 4-4), 70-14.

Reed delivered 15 points in the first half when the Lady Wildcats gained a 27-6 margin.

She added 13 more after intermission and wound up with three 3-pointers, seven steals and five assists.

Bridget Yaw had 11 points, including a 3-pointer, and five steals while Danielle Reed handed out three assists for Sherman.

Megan Bailey grabbed four rebounds in the loss.
