Resource Center Presents Staff Appreciation Award

A luncheon was held recently to honor Beth Jermain, The Resource Center’s clinical program administrator, for her selection as the recipient of TRC’s agency-wide staff appreciation award for the third quarter.

Paul Cesana, executive director, and Tony Prinzi, assistant executive director for labor relations, noted Ms. Jermain’s deep involvement in developing the person-centered planning concept for providing supports to people with disabilities. “You really champion this new, sometimes tough, way of finding solutions,” Cesana said.

“You have a lot of compassion for what you do, and you follow through,” said Virginia Vath, assistant executive director for quality assurance/quality improvement and staff training. “You’re the person who kind of keeps the flame going.”

“You’ve always had so much passion for what you do,” said Nancy Ingram, assistant executive director.

“Beth, I think you’ve been invaluable with the Learning Institute,” said Heather Brown, assistant executive director for service operations, referring to a person-centered planning initiative. “It was an absolute pleasure working with you in (TRC’s) Individualized Services.”

Denise Jones, associate executive director and chief operating officer, noted Ms. Jermain’s “sense of humanity” and said that trait is evident in everything Ms. Jermain does, as is her joy for her work.

Prinzi added that Ms. Jermain volunteers at many TRC and TRC Foundation events, and he added praise by saying, “You’ve always done what you’ve been asked in this agency.”

Ms. Jermain has worked for The Resource Center since 1989. Her name has been added to a plaque listing the previous recipients of the agency-wide staff appreciation award.
