Ruff Riders Partake In Caroling

The Sugar Grove Ruff Riders Club met in December for a night of Christmas caroling and community service at the Warren County Rouse Suites.

All members attending were encouraged to wear our club shirts and something Christmassy on their heads. Members took time to sing many Christmas carols to the 27 residents. Ed Bennett played his viola and accompanied his mother Melanie Bennett on the piano while club members sang along to the songs. Several members, including Katie Downs, Abagail Downs, Melissa Bennett and Eliza Brook, shared their own piano music for the residents. Abagail Downs also shared some music on her guitar. All members were encouraged to bring a dozen cookies to share with the residents after singing. The club provided cider to go along with the cookies. When the members finished singing to the residents each member took time to offer cider and cookies to the residents. Several of the members even took time to visit and share with the residents.

The next meeting for the Sugar Grove Ruff Riders will be on Monday at Mission Covenant Church located in Sugar Grove. These notes were written and submitted by Katie Downs, club news reporter and secretary.
