Area Police Reports


David J. Frank, 21, of Dunkirk was charged with moving from lane unsafely, unlicensed driver, unregistered motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and DWI with blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent. Deputies on Tuesday were investigating a suspicious situation on Roberts Road in the town of Dunkirk. During that investigation, a vehicle was located in the snow bank at the end of the road. Frank was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest without incident. He was processed and released with traffic tickets and will appear in court at a later date.


Michael J. Anderson, 40, of Jamestown was arrested Thursday morning after he was located walking down Peck Hill Road. His car was reportedly parked illegally on Lincoln Avenue, hindering a town snowplow. Anderson was found to be carrying a gym bag containing tools commonly used for scrapping metal. He was processed and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, possession of burglar’s tools and unlawful possession of marijuana. Anderson was released on appearance tickets and traffic tickets and is to appear in Town of Perrysburg Court at a later date.


Scott C. Olson, 58, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree aggravated harassment. Police on Tuesday at 7 a.m. responded to 48 Sturges St. to investigate a domestic violence incident. The investigation revealed that Olson had entered the female victim’s residence uninvited and began to yell and scream at her. Olson then left the residence and placed multiple phone calls to the victim in which he screamed profanities at her. He was located by police at his residence a short time later and was taken into custody. Olson was transported to Jamestown City Jail, arraigned in City Court and released to appear at a later date.

Amy Baker, 30, of Celoron was charged with driving while intoxicated. Police on Tuesday at 12:17 a.m. came across a single-car accident near the intersection of Jones and Gifford and Lister avenues. Police say Baker lost control of her vehicle, drove off the roadway and ended up in the ditch. During their investigation, officers determined Baker was intoxicated.
